Brief Information

Indian Institute of Technology , IIT Guwahati is soon going to conduct the Joint Admission Test for Masters 2023 (JAM 2023) examination this year. Students who want to take admission in JAM 2023 can apply online from 07 September 2022 to 11 October 2022. The JAM 2023 exam will be held on 12 February 2023 and the result will be released on 22 March 2023. For all other information read the notification.

• JAM 2023 is a Computer Based Test (CBT) to be conducted in SEVEN different subjects: Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology (GG), Mathematical Statistics (MS), Mathematics (MA), Physics (PH).

• Fully objective type, with three types of questions: (i) Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), (ii) Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and (iii) Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.  

• Candidates can appear for either ONE or TWO test papers.  
• DIRECT admission to approximately 3000 seats in various postgraduate programmes at IITs.
• JAM 2023 scores likely to be used by around 30 CFTIs including NITs, IISc, DIAT, IIEST, IISER, IIPE, JNCASR, SLIET for over 2300 seats
