The Porsche Taycan Turbo S drove around the Nurburgring race track in 7 minutes and 33 seconds, which was a new record for production electric cars. The more powerful Tesla Model S Plaid set the previous record for a production EV around the track in September 2021, when it did it in 7 minutes and 35 seconds.

The record-setting Taycan had the Porsche performance package, which is currently only available in Germany through Porsche Tequipment. It has 21-inch alloy wheels with track-designed Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres.
Porsche says that the updated dynamic chassis control system “analyses and synchronises all of the Taycan’s chassis systems in real time.” Porsche said that the record-setting Taycan weighed the same as a regular production car, even though it had a roll cage and racing seats.
In 2019, the Porsche Taycan Turbo set the record for electric production cars with a time of 7 minutes and 42 seconds. However, the Model S Plaid beat it by two years.
The Turbo S has the most power and torque of any Taycan. It can make up to 761hp and 1,050Nm of torque. The Turbo S is proud of its two-speed gearbox, which is mounted on the back axle and has a short ratio for the most speed from a stop. The Taycan Turbo S from Porsche costs Rs 2.33 crore.
